A Day at the Beach

The C word has been written and discussed in to the ground this week so I'm a little reluctant to add to the conversation, BUT wasn't it nice hang at home this weekend?  There seems to be an expectation in LA that you aren't having fun unless you're going somewhere, but they told us to stay home for the weekend and we did it and we didn't all die.  Actually it seems like most of us enjoyed it.  My roommate and I cruised down to Manhattan Beach last night (a short trek down Vista Del Mar) and found the town absolutely bustling with what seemed to be locals.  The restaurants were packed, the weather was a perfect 67 with a cool breeze coming off the ocean and everywhere you looked people looked relaxed and happy.  I vote for a once a year 405 holiday.  That's all.
